Free P.E.R.T. Math Practice Test #1

Generally, our practice test presents questions in increasing order of difficulty unlike the real PERT math test which is adaptive. You may take this free practice test as often as you like. If you’d like to restart or retake the test, simply refresh the page in your browser and select "No" when asked if you would like to resume. If you choose to resume an unfinished attempt, the test will continue right where you left off. Clearing your browser's cookies and cache will also reset the practice test.

There is no pass or fail on the actual PERT test but the entry-level college credit course for mathematics is Intermediate Algebra (MAT 1033) for which you need to score a minimum of 114 (scaled scores range from 50 to 150). There are a total of 30 questions on the P.E.R.T. math test, 5 of which are unscored, operational questions that help with future test development. Since we don't know the formula for converting actual scores to scaled scores, you should aim for a minimum score of 21 on this PERT practice test if your goal is to test into Intermediate Algebra and a score of 23 or greater if your goal is to test into College Algebra.

Test Difficulty Level: MEDIUM
